Rías Baixas “As Covas” (Red) 2020

Rodrigo’s history in the area has been vital to the success of Forjas del Salnés. He was able to find and secure the use of ancient plantations, some of which were long-abandoned, and bring them back to life.The idea with the Bodegas Viñedos Rodrigo Méndez project was for Rodrigo to make wines that focus on the village of Meaño where Rodrigo was born, in the heart of Salnés valley of Rías Baixas. 

Vinification: 100% Pinot Noir on granite soils. Grapes are harvested by hand and Fermentation happens spontaneously with indigenous yeast in open vats. The wine is aged on the lees for 11months in old oak before bottling. Unfiltered.
